Army advises Oahu residents of increased aircraft and vehicle traffic

What neighbors may see

Army units will use several sites across Oahu during a Joint Pacific Readiness Center exercise. The garrison’s November 3 notice names Kahuku Training Area, Wheeler Army Airfield and Schofield Barracks among the locations. Helicopters, cargo aircraft and military vehicles may operate during the day or at night.

Why the dates differ

The main training window ends November 16. Moving arriving personnel and equipment into position is a separate phase that can extend local activity through November 25. Residents checking an event or travel date can consult the garrison’s notice for updates and its community concern line.
